Description
This is A WESLEYAN THEOLOGY OF HOLY LIVING FOR THE TWENTY-FIRST CENTURY: The Pursuit of Perfection Across Twenty Centuries by Vic Reasoner.
In the 1970s a small group of men met together for fellowship and to share their common understanding that the indwelling of the Holy Spirit was the common and necessary ingredient of the New Testament Christian. What we had envisioned as a catalyst to revival and a fresh awakening was met with nearly unilateral opposition. Today Dr. Reasoner boldly pushes this same message forward in systematic form. Reader, read with the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit and a keen desire to better comprehend the truth. Then this book will aid you in your quest for eternal life.

A Wesleyan Theology of Holy Living for the Twenty-First Century is a valuable contribution to the theology, history, experience, and practice of holiness. The arguments, insights, and conclusions reached in this book are, first of all, scholarly. Dr. Reasoner has demonstrated his depth and insight as a scholar by meticulously examining the theological, historical, and practical relevance of the message of holiness.
Second, the book is valuable because the author brings into it his many years of pastoral experience. As a pastor, he has taken into account the many struggles of Christians in the quest to become holy. Thus, the book not only has a scholarly appeal, but it is a “must read” by pastors and church members as well.
The third reason why I believe this book is relevant is because of my many years of personal acquaintance with Dr. Vic Reasoner as my pastor and friend. I have seem him live out the life of holiness. He is not merely a scholar or professor of religion, but a student in the school of holiness with Jesus, earnestly pursuing the life of holiness and seeking to be like Christ.
Finally, this book demonstrates from the history of the church and the holiness movement across the centuries that holiness can be experienced and practiced, and lived out in our work by the earnest and sincere seeker.
This book will no doubt be beneficial to the many Christians in Africa who are yearning to understand and live out the holiness message daily. It is my prayer that God will use this book to stir up holiness and revival within his church.
